Fadi El Halabi
Psychotherapist, Counselor for Couples and Adults,Founder of the Relational Ecology Center
Being a “fin gourmet”, I see my journey as sweet with a
pinch of sour taste. The sweet is made of wide dreams and an avid appetite
to live fully and the sour comes within life changing challenges. Spinning
in my soul and blending both, the wheel of life made me run all around the
globe, to open the path for new promises.
The combination resulted in a unique spice mixture: I am a people
connector, a social change maker and a passionate energizer.
My “connector” wheel revolves around my experience as a teenager whereby
people opened up easily to me while I was delighted to provide them with
solutions. That stimulated my desire to become a counselor/psychotherapist,
supporting couples and adults find their own answers. In this role, my
core mission and commitment are making a difference in people’s lives by
initiating a “culture of couple wellness” in Lebanon and the MENA region.
I have realized it through my therapist practice – in clinic and online -
and on several platforms – TV; radio, press and through tailored workshops
delivered in renowned centers and universities. In my role of
trainer/facilitator, I see myself as an energy stimulator and personal
and professional development catalyst. All across, my golden belief
remains “the quality of our relationships determines the quality of
our life.” In this sense, beyond all, I am grateful for precious and
life-lasting friendships – constituting my real wealth.
My birth coinciding with the start of the Lebanese war, I saw and
experienced how devastating a war can be. As a teenager, my response
was to “fight” positively by joining “Nahar Al Shabab” (*) group of
young amateur journalists and activists swirled my “dreamer” wheel and
shaped my social change maker identity. Later on, this facet matured on
a TV platform where I acted as the anchor of the TV show “Tawasol” which
brought forward public issues and civil society initiatives; on a weekly
basis for four years. Simultaneously, being entrusted since 2006 to lead
the Ecumenical Disability Advocates Network (EDAN) in Lebanon and the
Middle-East, I actively advocate and network for the inclusion of people
with disabilities in all aspects of life.
The alliance I chose to build with life twirled my “energizer” wheel,
where the vibrant Latin rhythms put my wheels on fire, introducing the
first wheelchair dance show in the Arab countries and conquering the
“World Latin Dance Cup” trophy in Miami in 2015. With my dance partner,
we held the message of “Ambassadors of Joy and Hope, from Lebanon to the
World”. On the same tempo, in Lebanon, “Berytech” – a leading startup
incubator - had awarded me the 1st social entrepreneurship prize for
the concept of an inclusive dance academy. In my every day, I seek
creating a choreography where vulnerability and resilience harmonize,
driven by a desire for growth through search of meaningful human
experience and backed by constant learning and exposure to various
human relations disciplines.
More recently, weaving my three wheels of “connector”, “dreamer” and
“energizer”, I founded the “Relational Ecology Center” (REC) - first
within the Antonine University (UA) in Lebanon and later as an autonomous
social enterprise. The REC positions itself as an innovative ecosystem;
targeting educational institutions and organizations at large. Its mission
is to co-create embracing cultures that promote personal, interpersonal
and community growth and fulfilment. Its interventions are based on
"Design Thinking" - a human-centered, collaborative and creative approach
where clients are partners throughout the whole process. Ultimately,
the REC’s vision is to amplify humanity in individuals and communities.
To spin your couple or organizations’ wheels towards the next level;
feel free to knock on my door and open up possibilities to lead an
“always juicy, never well done” life – my ever-sparkling motto.
Finally, I would like to share with you a little secret. As a student,
I enjoyed rolling fast across the university corridors and twist my wheels
suddenly, upon accessing the classroom. An inspiring teacher once told me:
“Fadi you cannot walk, but you run as if you had four legs.” Her sentence
illustrates my deepest desire which I would like to awaken in others –
Embracing Life, Unstoppably!

More recently, weaving my three wheels of “connector”, “dreamer” and
“energizer”, I founded the “Relational Ecology Center” (REC) - first
within the Antonine University (UA) in Lebanon and later as an autonomous
social enterprise. The REC positions itself as an innovative ecosystem;
targeting educational institutions and organizations at large. Its mission
is to co-create embracing cultures that promote personal, interpersonal
and community growth and fulfilment. Its interventions are based on
"Design Thinking" - a human-centered, collaborative and creative approach
where clients are partners throughout the whole process. Ultimately,
the REC’s vision is to amplify humanity in individuals and communities.
To spin your couple or organizations’ wheels towards the next level;
feel free to knock on my door and open up possibilities to lead an
“always juicy, never well done” life – my ever-sparkling motto.

More recently, weaving my three wheels of “connector”, “dreamer” and
“energizer”, I founded the “Relational Ecology Center” (REC) - first
within the Antonine University (UA) in Lebanon and later as an autonomous
social enterprise. The REC positions itself as an innovative ecosystem;
targeting educational institutions and organizations at large. Its mission
is to co-create embracing cultures that promote personal, interpersonal
and community growth and fulfilment. Its interventions are based on
"Design Thinking" - a human-centered, collaborative and creative approach
where clients are partners throughout the whole process. Ultimately,
the REC’s vision is to amplify humanity in individuals and communities.

pinch of sour taste.
More recently, weaving my three wheels of “connector”, “dreamer” and
“energizer”, I founded the “Relational Ecology Center” (REC) - first
within the Antonine University (UA) in Lebanon and later as an autonomous
social enterprise. The REC positions itself as an innovative ecosystem;
targeting educational institutions and organizations at large. Its mission
is to co-create embracing cultures that promote personal, interpersonal
and community growth and fulfilment. Its interventions are based on
"Design Thinking" - a human-centered, collaborative and creative approach
where clients are partners throughout the whole process. Ultimately,
the REC’s vision is to amplify humanity in individuals and communities.
To spin your couple or organizations’ wheels towards the next level;
feel free to knock on my door and open up possibilities to lead an
“always juicy, never well done” life – my ever-sparkling motto.
